The Respiratory Department Holds The First Session of “The Basic Knowledge and Skills of Diagnosis and Treatment in Interventional pulmonology”

With the support of hospital and related administrative departments, "The Interventional Pulmonology Center" of respiratory department has been officially put into operation in March 2016. Presently, we have carried out respiratory endoscopy of peripheral pulmonary nodules, diffuse pulmonary lesions, EBUS guided biopsy of hilar and mediastinal lymph node, endoscopic high-frequency electric cutting, cryoablation, laser, APC, high pressure balloon dilatation, the airway stent treatment technology etc. Since the opening of Interventional Pulmonology Center, we have successfully carried out more than 1000 cases of interventional treatment of various kinds of benign and malignant airway diseases, all kinds of difficult and rare pulmonary tumors, pleural effusion and pulmonary infection.
To further enhance the influence of our hospital in this academic field, the respiratory department has held the First Session of"The Basic Knowledge and Skills of Diagnosis and Treatment in Interventional pulmonology"during October 17th-21st in 2016. Our students were from Jiang Su,An Hui,Zhe Jiang,Shan Dong,Jiang Xi,Hu Nan and many other provinces. Not only experts in Shang Hai, but also domestic famous experts in regarding fields were invited to this seminar. We have adopted teaching modes combining theory teaching, hand-by-hand teaching, operation observation and case discussion. So as one student said in his graduation speech: In this class, we enjoyed the superior lectures by teaching experts; In operation observation, we appreciated that the interventional pulmonology team in this hopistal has already reached the leading domestic level; Through the whole process, we have realized the seek for ever greater perfection of this team, which exactly reflected the hospital culture "the pursuit of excellence".
