Academic Activity of Kidney Disease Group of Songjiang Medical Association 2014 Held
In the afternoon of Nov. 6, an academic activity was successfully held at the Conference Center of the Southern Branch by the Kidney Disease Group of Songjiang Medical Association. The doctors from Songjiang Central Hospital, Fangta Hospital and some primary hospitals as well as the postgraduates, doctors for standardized cultivation of the base and specialty training attended the conference. Yu Qing, Director of Nephrology Department presided over this academic activity.
Director Gao Jindi from Fangta Hospital discussed the role of traditional chinese medicine (TCM) in treating chronic kidney disease (CKD) and shared his experiences in diagnosis, differentiation and treatment of CKD with TCM. Later, Mu Xiuqian, Professor of State University of New York, gave a lecture on the conception, design, implementation and publishing of the scientific research. A good clinical doctor should not only know the cause, diagnosis and treatment of disease, but also be good at summarization. Good conception and design of the scientific research are important for the doctors to get accurate data. The wonderful lectures arose the academic interest of the audience. Many doctors and postgraduates consulted these two lecturers on the content of interest, to which Director Gao and Professor Mu made detailed answers one by one. At the end of the meeting, all the audience said that they benefited a lot from the activity, learned relevant TCM knowledge and how to design scientific research project, which widening their view.
The Kidney Disease Group of Songjiang Medical Association held this activity for the purpose of promoting the development of kidney disease discipline in Songjiang District, strengthening the cooperation and exchange on clinical diagnosis, treatment and scientific research and expanding the influence of kidney disease discipline in Songjiang District so that more local people get to know the kidney disease. The Group also conducts academic forum on special topic and regional multicenter clinical and basic research.
