One-stop service for tumor diagnosis and treatment: The Oncology Center of Shanghai General Hospital founded in 2009 integrates tumor prevention, diagnosis, standardized treatment and recovery. It boasts two linear accelerators (including the most advanced VARIAN-RapidArc treatment system), High Intensity Focused Ultrasound treatment system (HIFU knife), microwaving treatment system (minimally invasive RF melting treatment system), HF thermal therapy system, radioactive particle implantation treatment system, Ar-He cryotherapy system and cancer genome detection system (ABI-320 sequenator),argon-helium cryosurgery. It is able to carry out PET-CT inspection, magnetic resonance inspection, CT inspection, chemical treatment, 3D conformal and intensity modulated radiation therapy, molecularly targeted treatment, surgical operation treatment, tumor biotherapy, minimally invasive operation treatment, oncogene detection and other tumor diagnosis and treatment technologies. It set up the combined outpatient of multiple disciplines and integrated the superior resources of tumor diagnosis and treatment of the Hospital to implement the real comprehensive treatment of multiple disciplines and individualized treatment of the tumor and provide the cancer patients with the most scientific diagnosis and treatment technology and the best one-stop service. Depending on "Shanghai Key Pancreatic Cancer Lab", "Pancreatic Diseases Treatment Center of Shanghai Jiao Tong University" and "Clinical Cancer Genome Detection Center", the Center has reached a domestic leading level in the clinical treatment and basic study of pancreatic cancer, individualized comprehensive treatment of tumor and tumor molecular targeting treatment. The Center also established long-term and stable cooperative relationship with MD Anderson Cancer Center and Markey Cancer Center of the University of Kentucky to conduct all-round cooperation in clinical diagnosis and treatment of tumor, scientific research and talent cultivation.

The standardized comprehensive treatment of tumor: We are one of the first units that prepare the specification of tumor diagnosis and treatment among the general hospitals in Shanghai. Based on Chinese tumor diagnosis and treatment specification and guidance, we ensure the parents will accept comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of multiple disciplines' specification by combining the features of our hospital.
Individualized tumor treatment: This not only refers to the clinical treatment customized based on the gene and protein expression characteristics of the patient, but also includes adjustment of drug dose subject to the clinical features and blood concentration of the patient. For this purpose, we cooperated with the laboratory in carrying out several genomics and proteomics detections to provide guidance on selecting clinical treatment plan. Meanwhile, we also detect plasma concentration and adjust the drug dose based on the concentration, which improves the treatment effect and lowers the side effect.

Characteristic tumor treatment technologies: We apply advanced method and technology including 3D conformal and intensity modulated radiation therapy, focused ultrasound therapy, RF thermal therapy, microwaving treatment and internal r-knife treatment, providing more medical solutions for the patients.
National clinical new drug test base: All staff have completed the training on GCP and passed the examination. We have completed and are conducting tests of 32 new clinical drugs including more than 10 clinical tests of international multi-center so that our clinical diagnosis and treatment level synchronizes with the international level.
