  The General Surgery Center is clinically featured by large abdominal organs transplantation and digestive system tumor. The Center created many firsts: the first case of hepatic lobectomy; the first case of portal vein and intestinal tract drainage type pancreas-kidney transplantation nationwide; emergency active secondary liver transplantation operation with incompatible blood type; the first pancreas-kidney transplantation and intestinal tract drainage type pancreas-kidney transplantation of Shanghai. In recent three years, the annual emergency room visits and operation quantity are more than 73,000 and 6,000, respectively on average. It maintains at a domestic leading level in treating cancer of special hepatic segment, hilar bile duct carcinoma cancer, pancreatic cancer, end-stage liver disease, locally advanced gastric cancer, abdominal aneurysm, retroperitoneal tumor at special part, intrahepatic biliary calculi, acute severe pancreatitis, severe compound trauma, acute arterial embolism and other difficult and critical diseases of general surgery. It performed regular liver transplantation, hepatic trisectionectomy, secondary resection for recurrence after liver cancer operation, radical operation for hilar cholangiocarcinoma, complicated high hepatolith, operation for treating complicated biliary tract diseases with three endoscopes, combined organ resection of gastrointestinal tumor and many types of laparoscopic surgeries in general surgery, which achieves good effect.
