We Successfully Held the Second “Gongji Forum” on Stroke and “National Continuing Education Project” on Movement Disorders and Sleep Disorders in October 2016

The second“Gongji Forum”on stroke as well as“National Continuing Education Project”on movement disorders and sleep disorders was successfully held in the northern branch of our department (Hongkou District) on October 20th to 23rd 2016. The conference was held by Department of Neurology of Shanghai General Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University, together with the Youth Council of Chinese Stroke Association.

The conference was presided by Prof. Yuncheng Wu, the Director of Department of Neurology, Shanghai General Hospital and the executive member of the Youth Council of Chinese Stroke Association, as well as Prof. Yilong Wang from Department of Neurology of Beijing Tiantan Hospital affiliated to Capital Medical University, vice president of the Youth Council of Chinese Stroke Association and administrative director of the National Clinical Medical Research Center of Neurological Disorders. The opening speech of the forum was made by Prof. Shujie Xia, vice president of Shanghai General Hospital, and Prof. Peng Xie, president of China Neurologist Association and vice president of Chongqing Medical University.
The “2016 Gongji Forum” included eight themes covering cerebrovascular disease, neurodegeneration, sleep disorders, etc. Each section included the topics on cinical diagnosis and treatment progress, the Guide interpretation, case analysis, experience in diagnosis and treatment, basic research, image technology and clinical research. Famous experts and scholars are famous in the fields of cerebrovascular disease, neurodegeneration, movement disorders, sleep disorders and etc. from all over the country attended the forum and gave splendid lectures. The participants of the conference expressed that this kind of conference not only improved their further understanding of the standardized diagnosis and treatment in these fields but also inspired them thorough thinking on clinical strategies in addition to fundamental researches. They show great interests in expecting to attend the next Forum to be held in future.
