Our Hospital Successfully P[assed the Re-evaluation of National Demonstrative Unit of Traditional Chinese Medicine in General Hospitals

On October 24, 2016, the experts group from the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine carried on one-day re-evaluation on our construction situation of National Demonstrative Unit of General Hospitals’ Traditional Chinese Medicine work, accompanied by division chief Zhao Zhiping and others from Traditional Chinese Medicine Service Supervision Department of Shanghai Health and Family Planning, and attended by nearly 20 people from our hospital including Associate Dean Xia Shujie, Associate Dean Zhong Liwei, some medical and nursing departments directors, and some TCM-related people.
The group held a brief closed-door meeting, which was followed by an official revaluation. Division chief Zhao Zhiping introduced the experts, and Secretary Feng Yun made a speech on behalf of our hospital. Fang Peiying, the leader of the experts group conducted the revaluation meeting, who announced the assessment of disciplines and related policies. Associated dean Zhong Liwei gave a briefing on the development of hospital construction, general condition of Traditional Chinese medicine subjects and the progress of traditional Chinese medicine work after passing the first revaluation in 2010. After the report finished, the experts were divided into four groups including the management group, the clinical group, the pharmacy group and the nursing group, and respectively inspected the relevant data and reports, combined with site inspection, related personnel interviews and other means to check.
Finally, the experts group summarized the results and gave feedback immediately. The experts group fully affirmed the support and achievements of TCM work in our hospital, especially the construction of clinical center of TCM in hospital. At the same time, they suggested to furtherly enhance the top-level design and strengthen the guidance for TCM in order to increase the work of Chinese medicine policy and performance tilt. Traditional Chinese medicine departments needed to enhance their capacity and conduct content construction, and actively explore the breakthrough point of TCM work as well as combination of Chinese and Western medicine work, strengthen the demonstration work of culture construction of TCM and publicity display. The re-evaluation and acceptance was a successfully concluded.
The hospital will furtherly learning and thinking about the feedback from the experts group, continue to make progress, try to reach a higher level of TCM work.
