Clinical Feature

    The key research direction of the Division of Chinese Internal Medicine includes spleen and stomach diseases, rheumatism, chronic heart and kidney diseases, tumor and diabetes. Over the years, it opened more than 10 characteristic specialized outpatients such as TCM gastropathy, rheumatism, gastrointestinal tumor and chronic nephritis. It has over 20 self-made preparations. The "Specialty of TCM Gastropathy" which has a history of more than 30 years was founded under the leadership of Professor Zhang Jingren, a domestic well-known veteran TCM doctor. It is specialized in treating various chronic gastrointestinal diseases, especially the diagnosis and treatment of atrophic gastritis and lesions prior to gastric cancer. The Specialty is Shanghai Medical Cooperation Center for TCM (Combination of Chinese Traditional and Western Medicine) Chronic Gastritis, Shanghai TCM Characteristic Specialty, Characteristic Specialty of Shanghai Municipal Hospital and Shanghai Superior Clinical Specialty.
    The Division of TCM Gynecology, under the leadership of Professor Cai Xiaosun, a domestic well-known veteran TCM doctor, is originated from the "Cai's Gynecology" which has a 100 years of history. It is featured by accurate diagnosis, correct drug use and rapid effect. It is especially effective well-known for the diagnosis and treatment of menstrual disorder, infertility, endometriosis and other refractory disease. 
The Division of TCM Surgery covers "TCM sore and ulcer surgery, TCM trauma, TCM anorectal disease, TCM breast and TCM skin". By orally taking traditional Chinese medicine, external application, drug use, and surgery (external dissection and internal ligation, anal fistula resection and seton, polyp removal, RPH, PPH), it is able to treat anorectal disease, breast disease and hard wound healing, which has remarkable treatment effect.
    The Department now has two teachers for directing the academic experience work of well-known TCM expert, two well-known TCM doctors of Shanghai, three master's supervisors, "Shanghai New Star of Yiyuan" and "Shanghai Excellent Young Medical Talent". The Department is the "Chinese Internal Medicine Teaching Base" and "TCM Surgery Teaching Base" of standardized training for Shanghai TCM resident doctors.
