Clinical Diagnosis & Treatment Center for Heart Disease of Medical Group of Shanghai General Hospital Officially Founded

Cardiovascular disease, a killer to human death, seriously impacts the health of mankind. With the development of science and technology, people know more about the cardiovascular disease and the treatment concept and method also keep updating. In order to strengthen the cooperation in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease of Medical Group of Shanghai General Hospital, further improve the comprehensive clinical diagnosis and treatment level of the cardiovascular disease of the Group and facilitate the standardization, specialization and individualization of the diagnosis and treatment of the cardiovascular disease, the "Clinical Diagnosis & Treatment Center for Heart Disease of Medical Group of Shanghai General Hospital" was officially founded at the "Gongji Cardiovascular Disease Forum 2014" held by our hospital on Nov. 29.
This conference was jointly held by our hospital and the units under the Group. Professor Xia Shujie, Vice President of our hospital, Professor Liu Wei, Director of Education Department, Professor Liu Shaowen, Director of Department of Cardiology, Professor Yuan Zhongxiang, Director of Department of Cardiac Surgery, Directors and representatives of the department at each branch attended the conference. The conference was chaired by Professor Yuan Zhongxiang, Director of Department of Cardiac Surgery.
Professor Liu Shaowen, Director of the Clinical Diagnosis & Treatment Center for Heart Disease, first introduced the overview of the heart center, operation pattern of the diagnosis and treatment center, working idea and structure setting of our hospital. Vice President Xia Shujie, Professor Liu Wei and Professor Liu Shaowen inaugurated the Clinical Diagnosis & Treatment Center for Heart Disease of Medical Group of Shanghai General Hospital. The Clinical Diagnosis & Treatment Center for Heart Disease of Medical Group of Shanghai General Hospital was established at our hospital. There are 14 branch centers under it. Later, Vice President Xia Shujie read the notice of employment of the Director and Deputy Director of the Clinical Diagnosis & Treatment Center for Heart Disease of Medical Group of Shanghai General Hospital, issued the letter of employment to them and granted the plate for the member unit of each branch center. Lu Yong, Deputy Director of the Center and Director of Department of Cardiology of Shanghai No.4 People's Hospital, delivered a speech on behalf of the group unit. At last, Vice President Xia Shujie delivered a speech of summary. He sincerely wished the Center would establish an effective cooperation and popularization mechanism in conducting new technology, optimizing service pattern and talent cultivation and jointly improve the diagnosis and treatment service capability of each member unit.
After the conference, the Heart Disease Center held the first group member unit meeting and carried out an in-depth discussion on the operation pattern, talent cultivation, patient transfer and technical support of the Center, which provides suggestions for its long-term development.
