Dedicated to Medical Science and Cultivation of New Talents for Life - Medical Staff of Department of Endocrinology and Metabolism Visits Professor Gao Yinchun, Director of former Teaching and Research Office of General Medicine Department
In the afternoon of Jan. 20, the doctors and nurses of the Department of Endocrinology and Metabolism at the Northern Branch under the leadership of Professor Peng Yongde visited Professor Gao Yinchun, Director of Department of Internal Medicine, Director of Gerontology Department and Director of Teaching and Research Office of General Medicine Department, and wished him happy birthday.
Professor Gao Yinchun, graduated from Tongji University School of Medicine, is the chief founder of the endocrinology of Anhui Province. From 1985 on, he worked for Shanghai General Hospital as the Associate Chief Physician of the Department of Medicine, Director of the Department of Medicine and Director of Gerontology Department. As the first Director of Teaching and Research Office of General Medicine Department of our hospital, Director Gao made historic contribution to the orderly development of the teaching work of the Department of Medicine, construction of teaching rules and regulations and cultivation of teaching staff. She successively won "Activist for Socialist Construction of The First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University", "Advanced Worker for Science and Technology of Anhui Medical University", "Advanced Worker of Bengbu Medical College", "Advanced Individual in Five Stresses and Four Points of Beauty Activity", "3·8 Red-Banner Pacesetter of Bengbu City", "Five-Good Individual" and "Advanced Teacher Representative of Anhui Province". She was rated as the "Good Party Member of the Hospital" by the Party committee of Shanghai General Hospital in 1987 and 1990. She enjoyed the special allowance granted by the State Council from 1992.
In Jan. 2015, it was Director Gao's 90-year-old birthday. Director Peng led the medical staff of the Northern Branch came to visit Mr. Gao and presented birthday cards, flowers and gifts. Ill in bed, Director Gao was hale and hearty with a clear way of thinking. He showed gratefulness of the department spirit of inheritance towards the Department of Endocrinology and Metabolism, expressed sincere thanks for the glorious tradition of caring about former expert and placed high expectation on the Department. He hoped the Department would make persistent efforts and create greater achievement under the leadership of Director Peng.
