We Held Sino-Germany Symposium on Trauma

On Nov. 25, the Sino-Germany Symposium on Trauma hosted by Shanghai Trauma Association and undertaken by our hospital was held at the Conference Center of the Southern Branch. Relevant medical staff of the Department of Orthopedic Trauma, Department of Hand Surgery, Department of Repair & Reconstruction Surgery, ICU and Songjiang 120 Rescue Team as well as the leaders concerned of Shanghai Trauma Association attended the conference.

The symposium invited Professor Oliver Trapp from the BG Trauma Center, the largest trauma center in Germany. The white paper Trauma Emergency and Treatment prepared under his direction enjoys high reputation in the international trauma surgery with its powerful authority and instruction. At the meeting, Professor Oliver Trapp introduced the first-aid and treatment concept of severe trauma of Germany.

In China, trauma treatment as an emerging discipline varies greatly with regions in terms of development pattern and level. Establishing Trauma Emergency Center and standardized management system will be helpful in promoting further development of the trauma treatment work for the hospital to provide better health service.
