He is the Member of the Surgical Group of Surgery Branch of Chinese Medical Association, Member of Professional Pancreatic Cancer Committee of Chinese Anti-Cancer Association, Member of Professional Pancreatic Cancer Committee of Shanghai Anti-Cancer Association, Member of Professional Gastrointestinal Tumor Committee of Shanghai Anti-Cancer Association, Member of Pancreatic Surgery Group of Surgery Branch of Shanghai Medical Association, Member of Minimally Invasive Surgery Group of Surgery Group of Shanghai Medical Association, Professor of Greater China Laparoscopic Colorectal Institute, Editorial Board Member of Journal of Laparoscopic Surgery and World Journal of Gastroenterology. He primarily engages in the clinical and basic study on gastric, colorectal, biliary, pancreatic and laparoscopic surgery, and has done a large amount of work in diagnosing and treating gastric, colorectal, biliary, pancreatic and biliary tract tumor. He applies operation-based multidisciplinary comprehensive treatment method to process gastric, colorectal, biliary, pancreatic and biliary tract cancer and has a good command of various radical operations for gastric, colorectal, biliary, pancreatic and biliary tract cancer. He has accumulated rich experience in these operations that generate good effect. His department is one of the first units of the nation to perform radical operation for colorectal cancer and gastric cancer with laparoscope as well as transumbilical single-hole laparoscopic surgery. Its total cases take the lead in China. He won the First Prize for Shanghai Science and Technology Advancement and the Second Prize for Shanghai Clinical Medical Achievement.
