Department of Pediatric Medicine‍
The development direction of the subspecialties of the department includes the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric bronchial asthma, allergic reaction and children's kidney immune disease, growth and development dysfunction. As an independent NICU rescue unit, it rescues newborns with severe disease. The specialty is set up rationally, with overall powerful strength and outstanding features. All subpecialties can independently carry out the regular clinical technical projects of tertiary hospitals. As one of the first units performing renal biopsy, our department can independently conduct renal biopsy. Technical features: It actively promote the global plan for standardized diagnosis and treatment of asthma and presided over the preparation of the Guidance for Prevention and Treatment of Pediatric Asthma. In addition, it applied new technology of detecting bronchial asthma such as detection of allergen, analysis of induced sputum, inspection of infant lung function, NO inspection of expiratory air, which standardizes the treatment of bronchial asthma. At the same time, it holds workshops to actively promote the new technologies across the city and nation to make them standardized.
In recent years, all medical indexes of pediatric medicine steadily rise. In particular, the number of young patients increases, especially newborns. As our hospital was founded in Songjiang District six years ago, many primary and secondary hospitals send the patients with severe disease to our department. At the same time, our department is also responsible for the daily medical work of the newborn room of obstetrics. Our department established close cooperative relationship with the hospitals in other areas of Songjiang. The Outpatient of Pediatric Asthma officially opened in Jul. 2009. It attracts many patients with asthma and establishes personal file for each patient and makes individualized treatment and follow-up visit so that the children suffering asthma get the best medical service.

Department of Pediatric Surgery
It primarily conducts pediatric surgery trauma and emergency based on the specialty development direction characterized by general pediatric surgery and diagnosis and treatment of pediatric urology. In recent years, the Department had closely cooperations with the Department of General Surgery in performing minimally invasive pediatric abdominal operation.
