Shanghai Municipal Commission of Health and Family Planning Holds the Campaign “Shanghai Medical Service Improvement in Action” & Shanghai General Hospital’s Promoting Conference for Constructing a National Civilized Unit at Our Hospital

To learn Xi Jinping’s important exposition of spiritual civilization construction and the “Healthy China 2030” Plan, promote and carry out Shanghai Municipal Commission of Health and Family Planning’s “2016 Key Work Plan for Deeply Carrying out the Action Plan to Further Improve Medical Services”, vigorously promote medical service process optimization and promote the exchange of experience among various medical institutions, on Sept. 13, Shanghai Municipal Commission of Health and Family Planning held the campaign “Shanghai Medical Service Improvement in Action” & Shanghai General Hospital’s Promoting Conference for Constructing a National Civilized Unit at our hospital. Shanghai Municipal Commission of Health and Family Planning’s Party Committee Secretary Huang Hong, Shanghai Municipal Civilization Office’s Deputy Director Song Hui, Shanghai Hospital Development Center’s Party Committee Secretary Zhao Weixing attended the conference and gave speeches. Shanghai General Hospital’s party leaders, all the middle-level cadres, head nurses, representatives of winning civilized teams and civilized individuals attended the conference.

At the conference, Shanghai Municipal Commission of Health and Family Planning’s Party Committee Secretary Huang Hong pointed out the hospital’s construction as a national civilized unit should follow the guidance of Xi Jinping’s important exposition of spiritual civilization construction, implement the “Healthy China 2030 Plan”, integrate with Shanghai Municipal Commission of Health and Family Planning’s 3-Year Plan for Improving Patient Experience, spread social civilization, enhance our staff’s civil qualities. As to our hospital, we should actively strengthen our Gongji cultural inheritance strategy, build the 4S culture, drive the hospital’s cultural construction by the Gongji Brand, and thus promote the construction of a national civilized unit. 

Shanghai Municipal Civilization Office’s Deputy Director Song Hui offered advice about our hospital’s national civilized unit construction from strengthening organization and leadership, enhancing priorities, refining the division of responsibility. He required us to focus on implementation based on practical work, to enrich and deepened civilization construction.   

Shanghai Hospital Development Center’s Party Committee Secretary Zhao Weixing agreed with our hospital’s national civilized unit construction from sticking to public hospital’s public nature, civilization construction and medical service pattern innovation. The also gave specific requirements on our hospital’s further construction. He hoped our hospital could further firm our confidence and determination in construction, bring new ideas, concentrate our strength, seek consensus and try to be doers and boosters.  

On behalf of our hospital’s party leaders, our hospital’s Party Committee Secretary Feng Yun introduced our achievements in national civilized unit construction to the experts present at the conference. Feng Yun gave a summary report on 4 aspects, consolidating the long-term mechanism for spiritual civilization construction, strengthening the “Internet+” idea in spiritual civilization construction, building the handle of spiritual civilization construction, refining the cultural connotation of spiritual civilization construction. In the meantime, he displayed the entire process of our hospital’s national civilized unit construction and our achievements in further improving medical services through a video. Feng Yun pointed out the title of national civilized unit would embody our hospital’s image and social recognition. National civilized unit construction is of great realistic and historical significance to promoting our hospital’s scientific development and progress in medical treatment, teaching and disease prevention. We must further increase our sense of responsibility and urgency, organize and lead all our cadres and staff to take part in the work. 

Our hospital’s President Wang Xingpeng put forward 3 requirements for our hospital’s staff. The required all medical departments and functional departments to convey the conference’s spirit quickly, unify our thoughts and concentrate our energy, carry out internal mobilization and publicity again, to draw hearts closer, form the sense of urgency, do the work in the assessment year well to welcome the assessment; all the departments should organize the staff to learn the assessment standards and targets, check according to the set plan, “don’t stop until everything is up to standard”, to form a situation that “everyone has the responsibility, everyone shoulders pressure, everyone know and participate”; al the departments should improve the spiritual civilization construction systems and standardize management based on the experience in earlier stages, continue to carry out “Shanghai General Hospital’s Spiritual Civilization Assessment Measures (Provisional)” to make sure everything is implemented. 

At the conference, an award ceremony was held for winners of the Annual Civilized Team Award and Civilized Individual Award. Leaders from Shanghai Municipal Civilization Office, Shanghai Municipal Commission of Health and Family Planning and Shanghai Hospital Development Center presented the awards to winner representatives.
