As a well-known expert in bone tumor surgery and artificial joint surgery, he has been engaging in the clinical work of orthopaedics for more than 30 years. He is specialized in diagnosis and treatment of bone and soft tissue tumor as well as various complicated artificial joint operations. Up to now, he has completed various operations of bone and soft tissue tumor nearly 10000 cases and about 10000 artificial joint operations, of which, the number of pelvic tumor surgery ranks top at home and abroad. He maintains at a leading position at the medical research field of malignant bone transformation. He won the First Prize for Chinese Medical Science and Technology Advancement, First Prize for Shanghai Medical Science and Technology, Second Prize for Shanghai Science and Technology Advancement and Second Prize for Science and Technology Advancement of the Ministry of Education. In addition, he is also the nominee of Shanghai "Top Ten" Doctors and Shanghai Leading Talent. He enjoys the special government allowance of the State Council.  He is now the Vice Chairman of Orthopaedics Branch of Shanghai Medical Association, Member of Orthopaedics Branch of Chinese Medical Doctor Association, Standing Committee Member of Specialized Sarcoma Committee of Chinese Anti-Cancer Association, Leader of National Pelvic Ring Oncology Group, Member of Shanghai Orthopaedics Quality Control Panel, Director of Shanghai Office of Chinese Journal of Orthopaedics, Director of Editorial Department of Chinese Journal of Bone and Joint, Editorial Board Member of Chinese Journal of Orthopaedics, Chinese Journal of Bone and Joint, Orthopedic Surgery and International Journal of Orthopaedics. He compiled four monographs as a chief editor including Pelvis Surgery, Practical Bone Tumors, First-Aid in Battlefield and Modern War Wound Surgery and participated in compiling more than ten monographs. He has cultivated over 50 postdoctors, doctors and masters. There are 18 current graduate students including one postdoctor, six doctors and 11 masters. In recent years, he has been granted more than RMB 5 million of various national and local scientific research fund, published more than 100 papers on domestic core journals and 50 SCI papers as the first author.
