On July 2, the "the multidisciplinary alliance of pancreas and biliary tract of Shanghai General Hospital Medical Group" was officially Established. The alliance was led by Zhengjun Qiu, director of the general surgery center, Rong Wan, director of the gastroenterology center, and Jiang Long, director of pancreatic surgery. President Xingdong Zheng announced the establishment of the alliance. Han Wang, Vice president presided over the meeting and introduced the development of Shanghai General Hospital medical group in recent years. A total of 10 group hospital members have officially joined the multidisciplinary alliance. Qingsong Long, Secretary of the Party committee of Zunyi First People's Hospital, Zhengdong Cai, President of Jintan Hospital of Shanghai General Hospital, Aibing Yang, Secretary of the Party committee of Jiangsu Dongtai People's Hospital, Jian Chen, President of Tongzhou People's Hospital of Nantong, and Jianguang Sun, Vice President of Haiyan County People's Hospital of Zhejiang Province, attended the meeting and delivered speech. Jiang He, director of Jiangsu Dongtai People's Hospital, Bin Wang, director of Zhejiang Dongyang People's Hospital, and Hongwu Yu, director of the alliance, shared the cases.

President Xingdong Zheng introduced the background of the multidisciplinary alliance. He said that Shanghai General Hospital has the Shanghai Key Laboratory of Pancreatic Diseases, a municipal key laboratory established by Shanghai Science and Technology Commission. It relys on the Precise Research Center for Difficult Diseases of Shanghai General Hospital and the Institute of pancreatic diseases of Shanghai Jiaotong University. The director of the laboratory is professor Xingpeng Wang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of Shanghai Hospital Development Center. The laboratory has strong technical force and significant talent advantages and always follow the research frontiers. Severe pancreatitis in our hospital ranks among the top three in the list of key diseases in Shanghai Hospital Development Center for many years. Pancreatic surgery is a sub specialty set up during the "14th five year plan" of Shanghai General Hospital. Relying on the general surgery center led by Professor Zhengjun Qiu, the team of pancreatic surgery led by Professor Jiang Long focuses on the clinical diagnosis and treatment of pancreatic tumors, scientific research, and the innovation and transformation of technological achievements. It has undertaken the National Natural Science Foundation of China, key projects of Shanghai Science and Technology Commission and other projects, and published papers in ANS, BJC, BJC and other authoritative journals. Since the establishment of the team for more than a year, the ranking for pancreatic tumor surgery released by Shanghai Hospital Development Center has increased significantly, among which minimally invasive surgery ranked third. The multidisciplinary team of pancreas and biliary tract has gathered the best talents from the department of gastroenterology, pancreatic surgery, cancer center, anesthesiology critical medicine, imaging ultrasound nuclear medicine, pathology, endocrinology and other advantageous specialties of Shanghai General Hospital, formed an efficient and collaborative multidisciplinary cooperation mechanism, and focused on the most advanced diagnosis and treatment methods and clinical research of pancreatic and biliary tract diseases.

President Xingdong Zheng said that he believed that under the leadership of Professor Qiu Zhengjun, Professor Rong Wan and Professor Jiang Long, the pancreas and biliary tract alliance of Shanghai General Hospital Medical Group will work together for progress and coordinated development, and make remarkable achievements in the diagnosis and treatment of pancreatic biliary tract diseases. President Xingdong Zheng  said he hoped that the multidisciplinary alliance of pancreas and biliary tract can cooperate closely to treat patients, manage chronic diseases, construct disciplines, educate talents, conduct scientific research, share the information and resources, so as to promote the homogenization and coordinated development of the alliance members.

Prof.Zhengjun Qiu pointed out that our hospital has significant advantages in the field of diagnosis and treatment of severe acute pancreatitis. After Prof.Jiang Long joined the department, he injected the concept of multidisciplinary and multimodal whole process management into the treatment of pancreatic and biliary diseases, and formed a new multidisciplinary diagnosis and treatment model. The number of patients with pancreatic cancer in our hospital has increased significantly, the treatment level has been significantly improved. It is believed that Shanghai General Hospital medical group will bring the concept and model to more hospitals, hence improve the diagnosis and treatment level to benefit more patients.

He hoped that after the establishment of the pancreas and biliary tract alliance, it would organize remote synchronous ward rounds, teaching and case discussion, so that more disciplines could be guided by experts of Shanghai General Hospital. Prof.Zhengdong Cai congratulated the establishment of the municipal biliary tract multidisciplinary alliance. He said that the pancreas and biliary tract of Shanghai General Hospital has strong strength and has first-class experts. He looked forward to the rapid improvement of biliary and pancreatic technology in Jintan hospital under the guidance of specialist from the pancreas and biliary tract alliance, so as to provide quality services to the local people. Secretary Aibing Yang thanked Shanghai General Hospital for pushing Dongtai Hospital to make great progress in hospital management, technology development, discipline construction, scientific research and teaching. The multidisciplinary alliance of pancreas and biliary tract will allow colleagues in Dongtai to participate more closely in the construction of first-class disciplines in Shanghai. President Jian Chen said that with the help of the municipal government, Tongzhou District People's Hospital has entered the fast track of development, and 20 disciplines have entered the ranks of key disciplines in Nantong. He hoped that the hospital take the opportunity to have in-depth exchanges and cooperation with Shanghai General Hospital in talent construction, specialty construction, hospital management, performance appraisal. Vice president Jianguang Sun shared his personal friendship with the general surgery department of Shanghai General Hospital and Prof.Jiang Long, and hoped that the two hospitals would continue to strengthen discipline construction and exchanges.

Prof.Jiang Long introduced the mode of the MDT team of pancreas: through multidisciplinary outpatient service, joint ward rounds and difficult case discussion, a complete closed loop has been formed to conduct biological and oncological evaluation for each patient, meanwhile take into account the overall living and economic conditions of patients, care for patients in an all-round way, and formulate personalized treatment plans. He said that after the establishment of the alliance, it will eventually form formatted data statistics through joint consultation, ward rounds and education, so that patients in the alliance can be fully followed up, and each case has academic and research value; It will launch multi center research, realize digital transformation, build a research-oriented professional alliance, and form a wide-ranging and in-depth cooperation mechanism in the fields of academic exchanges and popular science. The ultimate goal is to work with related departments to build the alliance into a research-oriented, sharing and cooperation platform to serve the patients.

With the topic of "extension and discipline construction of ERCP", Prof. Rong Wan shared his experience and practice from four aspects: the brief history and development of ERCP, the discipline integration and expansion of ERCP, technology integration and innovation, and practice. Prof. Guoyong Hu shared his experience in the treatment of severe acute pancreatitis from four aspects: overview of severe acute pancreatitis, difficulties and treatment disputes, pathophysiological mechanisms and treatment strategies, and pathological sharing. Prof. Qi Li interpreted the 2022 CSCO guidelines for pancreatic cancer and shared the latest progress in the treatment of pancreatic cancer in the department of oncology through the introduction of adjuvant chemotherapy, neoadjuvant chemotherapy, neoadjuvant therapy, immunotherapy and application.

Prof.Jinbao Li of the Department of Anesthesiology, Prof.Ruilan Wang of the Department of Emergency and Critical Diseases, Prof.Wu Rong of Ultrasound Medicine, Prof.Jinhua Zhao of Nuclear Medicine, Prof.Jiayin Zhang of the Department of Radiology, and Prof.Yong Liu of the Department of Radiotherapy were invited to preside over the academic session.
