Prof. Xia Shujie Wins the Title of “China’s Top Doctor with Outstanding Achievements” at the 2nd China’s Top Doctor Awards

On July 20, the 2nd China’s Top Doctor Awards sponsored by www.people.cn and Health Times of the People's Daily was held in Beijing. A total of 362 outstanding doctors in various areas were selected into the 2nd “China’s Top Doctor” list. Prof. Xia Shujie, our hospital’s vice president and academic leader of our hospital’s Clinical Medicine Center for Urinary Surgery, was awarded the title of “China’s Top Doctor with Outstanding Achievements”.

This year’s China’s Top Doctor Awards was guided by the People’s Daily, co-sponsored by www.people.cn and Health Times with the Chinese Medical Association, Chinese Medical Doctor Association and Chinese Preventive Medicine Association’s 60 specialized branches. 445 people attended the ceremony, including Lv Yansong, associate editor-in-chief of the People’s Daily, Wang Longde, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and chairman of the Chinese Preventive Medicine Association, Li Linkang, inspector of the Medical Administration of the National Health Commission, Guo Yinglu, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Gao Runlin, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Ge Junbo, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and chairman of the Cardiovascular Disease Society of the Chinese Medical Association, Ning Guang, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, chairmen and deputy chairmen of 60 specialized societies of the Chinese Medical Association, Chinese Preventive Medicine Association and Chinese Medical Doctor Association, as well as experts and professors from various hospitals. At the ceremony, honorable titles like “China’s Top Doctor Worth a Special Tribute”, “China’s Top Doctor with Outstanding Achievements”, “China’s Top Doctor as a Good Model”, “China’s Top Doctor as a New Force” were presented.   

It’s reported that Health Times will join hands with the Chinese Medical Association, Chinese Medical Doctor Association and Chinese Preventive Medicine Association’s various specialized committees and AliHealth to establish a China’s Top Doctor Institute for Smart Medical Services. Based on the 653 China’s top doctors selected from past China’s Top Doctor Awards, the institute will unite and gather top authoritative expert resources in the medical profession and use AliHealth’s advantages in big data and cloud computing, to explore and develop in the field of smart medical services, develop AI systems and products in such fields as medical knowledge popularization and medical big data, to build the most powerful brain in contemporary China’s medical sector.
