Our Hospital and Institut Supérieur de Rééducation Psychomotrice Sign a Memorandum of Cooperation

On Dec. 16, our hospital's President Wang Xingpeng and Institut Supérieur de Rééducation Psychomotrice (ISRP for short) Chairman Jose Soubiran from Paris, France, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on promoting rééducation psychomotrice in China. The two sides have agreed to promote the development of rééducation psychomotrice in China hand in hand with Shanghai Jiao Tong University by integrating the advanced experience and knowledge of both sides. The two sides will invest their superior resources and have all-round cooperation in fields like specialized training, formal, vocational and continuing education programs, international academic exchange on rééducation psychomotrice, etc.

ISRP is a global leader in the field of rééducation psychomotrice. They put forward the concept of “rééducation psychomotrice” in the middle of last century, which aims to perceive and treat patients by integrating their physical and psychological states. At first, rééducation psychomotrice was just carried out on children with learning disabilities and handicapped clever children. Later, it was expanded to fields like child and adult psychiatry, geriatrics, sensory hypo-function, melancholia, etc, to control various violent behaviors and addictions. Recently, it has been expanded to fields like athletic training to improve athletes psychological states, performance and physical recovery, as well as the prevention of social psychological risk, pressure and job burnout, etc. China is becoming a aging society. All kinds of “civil diseases” that need to be treated by means of rééducation psychomotrice are increasing sharply. It’s our aim and concern in this cooperation to join hands with the global leader in rééducation psychomotrice and pay attention to new diseases that appear in the evolution of social civilization.
