On February 9th, led by Guo Anfeng, Deputy Director of the Social Department of Jiangxi Provincial Development and Reform Commission, and Wang Peili, Deputy Director of Shanxi Hospital of Xiyuan Hospita, experts of of the Fifth Batch of National Regional Medical Center Projects arrived at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Bengbu Medical College to inspect the Anhui Medical Center Projects of Shanghai General Hospital. He said that the Anhui Hospital project of Shanghai General Hospital will take ophthalmology, urology, orthopedics, general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology (reproductive medicine) as the leader, neurological diseases, cardiovascular, thoracic, emergency critical care, tumor, respiratory, digestive, radiology, ultrasound as the main body, and Internet hospitals and clinical research institutes as the two wings to build a comprehensive national regional medical center with distinctive characteristics and first-class in China. Create a high-quality and efficient medical and health service system, so that more patients can enjoy the top health services in China.the construction of national and provincial regional medical centers, deepen cooperation and exchanges with medical institutions in the Yangtze River Delta, continue to consolidate and strengthen the status of regional medical center cities, and benefit high-quality medical resources to wider and deeper surrounding areas, so that more people can enjoy high-quality medical services.

Secretary Jiang Jiaping pointed out in his speech that Bengbu Medical College and Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine are connected by blood and have deep roots, and the affiliated hospitals of the two schools cooperate to build a national regional medical center, which continues the history and shows more advantages. As an outstanding alumnus of Beng Yi, Academician Fan Xianqun, the current Vice President and Dean of Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine, gave strong support to the project application, and under his guidance, the two hospitals worked closely, and the project construction progressed rapidly. Bengbu Medical College has participated in the whole process, fully supported and fully cooperated with Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine from the early stage of project planning, forming a four-party guarantee and cohesive work situation of "province, city, school and hospital", and will strictly follow the requirements of the agreement, transfer the Second Affiliated Hospital to Shanghai General Hospital as a whole to implement "three independent" operation and management, provide support with the highest standards in scientific research and innovation, medical teaching, talent training and other aspects, and promote the implementation of various application work as soon as possible and achieve immediate results.

Deputy Director Cui Lijun and Director Zhang Xinzhou affirmed the progress of the construction of the previous project and pointed out that in order to build an integrated medical and health service system with a clear division of labor and close collaboration, Anhui Province formulated a medical and health service system plan earlier, establishing Bengbu as a provincial regional medical center, which was further strengthened and implemented during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, and the construction of a national regional medical center in Bengbu is of strategic significance to the development of health in the province.
