As an Initiator, Our Hospital Works with Tencent to Build “Internet + Health” in the Yangtze River Delta To Build an Integrated Intelligent Medical Service Model Covering the Whole Medical Process
Intelligent medical imaging, WeChat medical insurance payment, electronic health cards, electronic medical records, telemedicine and other advanced new services of “Internet+ Medical Service” will be implemented in the Yangtze River Delta in an all-round way as AI, blockchain security and WeChat payment improve. People will enjoy quality medical services at home. On June 1, our hospital’s president Wang Xingpeng and Jiangsu Province Hospital, Zhejiang Provincial People’s Hospital, Anhui Provincial Hospital, as initiating hospitals of the Yangtze River Delta “Internet+ Medical Consortium” construction, signed a cooperation agreement with Tencent. It’s introduced that the two parties will use new-generation information and communication technologies such as cloud computing, big data and AI to jointly build an “Internet + medical consortium” in the Yangtze River Delta region. This is also an important project to promote the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta region.
On June 1, a symposium of major leadership in the Yangtze River Delta region in 2018 was held in Shanghai. The attendees thoroughly studied the important guiding spirit of President Xi Jinping on the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta, discussed and reviewed the Three-Year Action Plan for the Integrated Development of the Yangtze River Delta and recent priorities. The construction of “Internet+ Medical Consortium” in the Yangtze River Delta is a profound practice of the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta.
In recent years, various places have vigorously developed medical consortiums to integrate regional medical resources. As one of the most mature urban clusters in China, the Yangtze River Delta region promoting the construction of “Internet + medical consortium” is of benchmarking significance to the national health and medical construction.
As early as in 2016, our hospital initiated the establishment of the Strategic Alliance of Hospitals in the Yangtze River Delta for Coordinated Development. This alliance was jointly initiated and founded by Jiangsu Province Hospital, Zhejiang Provincial People’s Hospital, Anhui Provincial Hospital and our hospital. The alliance aims to implement the Guidelines of the Health 2030 Plan laid down by the Central Committee of the CPC and contribute to the improvement of the overall medical level in the Yangtze River Delta by improving the management level of modern hospitals, promoting hierarchical diagnosis and treatment, enhancing discipline capacity, focusing on personnel training and joint prevention and control.
In this cooperation, the four initiating hospitals will work with Tencent to build an online and offline integrated medical service model covering the pre-treatment, treatment, post-treatment. According to the cooperation agreement, the construction of “Internet + medical consortium” in the Yangtze River Delta region involves cutting-edge technologies such as big data, blockchain and AI, including electronic health cards, intelligent medical imaging, medical insurance payment, remote consultation, technical training, scientific research collaboration and other medical service links.
The development of the Strategic Alliance of Hospitals in the Yangtze River Delta for Coordinated Development over the past two years has laid some foundation for the “Internet + medical consortium” construction in the Yangtze River Delta region. In the past two years, the Strategic Alliance of Hospitals in the Yangtze River Delta for Coordinated Development has grown from 77 members at the beginning to 112 members. Following the patient-centered and quality-oriented core idea, the alliance promotes the sharing and exchange of modern management experience between member hospitals. Grasping the opportunity of the era brought by “Internet +”, the alliance uses scientific methods to build discipline management standards. Relying on the informatization platform and using the big data technology, the alliance forms a specialized learning, reform and improvement mechanism for member hospitals, and tries to establish a specialized data sharing platform for member hospitals, to promote the standardization and homogenization of specialized management in hospitals in the region. The alliance also actively explores new models of medical consortiums and cross-regional medical services in specialized service areas, to form a rapid and effective referral channel and mechanism for special patients. Relying on the Internet, the alliance also seeks to establish a telemedicine platform for special diseases, to promote the mutual recognition and interconnection of medical diagnosis and examination information, so as to comprehensively improve the level of integrated specialized medical services in the Yangtze River Delta region.
This time, the launch of the “Internet + medical consortium” construction in the Yangtze River Delta region undoubtedly added wings to the Strategic Alliance of Hospitals in the Yangtze River Delta for Coordinated Development. In the future, the alliance and the “Internet + medical consortium” will work together to create a medical linkage and resource sharing platform in the Yangtze River Delta, to effectively promote and drive the orderly development of specialized medical services in the Yangtze River Delta region and write a wonderful chapter for the reform of medical and health services in China.
